In all honesty, at least 3 days per week, but the key is not to be maxing out everyday. This will only put you at risk for injury and is counterproductive. But with good programming, using the heaviest tolerated weight for many sets, with rest between sets will skyrocket your leg power. Most movements in Crossfit utilize a lot of leg power because of the amount of muscle they hold. So, squat!
