October NIKA of the month

October’s NIKA of the month was a no brainer! Everyone easily decided on one person: Denise! She is super motivated, a hard worker, and always smiling, a winning NIKA combination! Read on to learn more about Denise.

  1. How did you hear about Nika? I saw your FB page and read people’s comments of encouragement!!
  2. What made you come in for a No Sweat Intro for the first time? Making the decision to do something about the COVID weight gain and I knew I needed a “kick butt” workout/routine
  3. Did you feel nervous or intimated after your No Sweat Intro? Not really, I had Ashley and Stacey reach out to me and they were both wonderful in explaining what to expect.
  4. Favorite WOD or Movement? Everything is new to me and I love learning. I would say the ones that get my heart rate going the whole time and exhaust me to the point that I feel sore the next day. Those are the ones I say, “awesome workout”!!!
  5. Tell me about a friend or friends you have made at NIKA. I love the camaraderie and everyone is encouraging!!! It’s nice to be among people that feel like family, always helpful and sharing advice.
  6. Greatest accomplishment so far? I never thought I would be able to run 200m without gasping but I am now able to run 400m without gasping and stopping.
  7. Next goal? To be able to run a mile without stopping and gasping.
  8. How has Nika helped with your job, hobby, everyday life? NIKA is my stress release, I get these eye twitches when work is super stressful, but I know NIKA will exhaust me and I am able to relax and sleep soundly.
  9. What is your Spirit Animal? DEER
  10. Favorite Song to workout to? I love when they play oldies from the 80’s & 90’s, it just takes you back to a time when life seemed chilled.
  11. What advice would you give others who are thinking about signing up for a No Sweat Intro? Don’t think twice about it!!! You deserve “ME” time and NIKA is truly a complete package, mind, body and spirit.
